Clemson Challenges USC in Putting a Lid on Breast Cancer
Clemson University is coming together to raise money for breast cancer research and to make a difference in the lives of women and men living with breast cancer. The university is raising money by collecting the special pink lids that top Yoplait yogurt cups this September and October. For every lid saved and mailed in through December 31, 2006, Yoplait will donate $0.10 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, up to $1.5 million with a guaranteed minimum donation of $500,000. In an effort to increase collections, the Clemson University Women’s Basketball team has challenged the University of South Carolina Women’s Basketball team to raise the most lids.
Zeta Tau Alpha at Clemson University will be collecting lids on campus until November 15, 2006. Lids can be placed in the collection bins located at all dining areas on campus, local grocery stores, and the IPTAY office. Any other lids can be mailed to:
