Spiro Center's Master Panel of Entrepreneurs to be Held in Greenville
For the fourth year, the Spiro Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Clemson University will host a Master panel of Entrepreneurs, which features the Ernst and Young 2006 Carolinas Region Entrepreneur of the Year® winners and finalists. The Master Panel will be held at the Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville on Wednesday, September 27.
The event, which is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm, will include six successful Carolina entrepreneurs who were winners or finalists in the regional E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year® competitions in their respective areas. During the 90-minute panel session, these successful entrepreneurs will share stories from their business experiences and take questions from the audience; following the program, guests will have the opportunity to meet the speakers and network during an on-site reception.
This year’s panel will include:
- Michael Vadini of Titan Technology Partners (Charlotte, NC): Finalist, Technology and Communications
- John Boyd of TIC Properties (Greenville, SC): Finalist, Real Estate and Construction
- Gary Cooper of Winyah Health Care Group (Georgetown, SC): Finalist, Health Sciences
- Philip Maung of Hissho Sushi (Charlotte, NC): Finalist, Retail and Consumer Products
- Vicky Mitchener of Dickens-Mitchener & Associates (Charlotte, NC): Finalist, Real Estate and Construction
- John A. Forlines, Jr., of Bank of Granite (Granite Falls, NC): Winner, 2004.
In June, the Ernst & Young 2006 Carolinas Entrepreneur of the Year® winners were announced at a ceremony held in Charlotte, for which the Spiro Center is the Master Panel Patron. In past years, the fall Master Panel event in Greenville has drawn 350-400 guests, which is split evenly between Clemson University students and Greenville business community members.
The Spiro Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership is a unit of the College of Business and Behavioral Science at Clemson University. The Center’s mission is to advance education, research, and outreach in entrepreneurial leadership.
