Yang's Proposal Chosen for Oxford-Yale Conference

A research proposal by Dr. Tina Yang, assistant professor of finance, has been accepted for presentation at the Shareholders and Corporate Governance conference. Yang, one of ten proposals selected by a panel of faculty from the University of Oxford and Yale University, will present her work at Oxford University in October 2007. This highly prestigious honor recognizes her proposal “Comparative Analysis of Shareholder Activism in the US and UK: Evidence from Shareholder’s Proposal” and includes a $10,000 research stipend.

Yang joined the Department of Finance in the College of Business and Behavioral Science at Clemson University in August 2006.

The Shareholders and Corporate Governance conference, celebrating its 75 th anniversary in 2007, is jointly hosted by the Yale School of Management’s Center for Corporate Governance and Performance and the University of Oxford’s Said Business School.
