Financial Management - Academic Advising
The Finance Department recognizes the importance of academic advising. Every student has a faculty member assigned as an academic advisor. You should consider your advisor as a valuable resource since he or she can answer specific questions about courses and their prerequisites, emphasis areas and any other academic topic. You can also talk to your advisor about some of the careers available in finance, internship possibilities and study abroad opportunities.
One of the most valuable tools for checking your status is the Degree Progress Report, available through the SIS System. You can also refer back to the curriculum worksheets for your curriculum year. (You can find this year listed on your DPR.)

Courses that meet the various General Education requirements can be found in the Undergraduate Announcements. Select your catalog year and then select 'General Education'. You can also view the list of courses fulfilling the Business International Studies requirement.
We have collected a number of questions that students have asked in the past regarding advising, curriculum, changing majors and more. If your question is not answered here, please make sure to ask your advisor or Dr. Ralph Welton, Director of the School of Accountancy and Finance.
