Master of Public Administration - The Universities

The USC/Clemson Joint MPA Degree Program is a creative combination and extension of the resources and functions of the existing MPA program at the University of South Carolina, as well as the resources of Clemson University and The University Center of Greenville.

The MPA program at the University of South Carolina was initiated in 1968. There are hundreds of graduates of that program serving at federal, state, regional, and local levels of government, including more than thirty-five city or county managers in South Carolina, as well as the heads of four state agencies. The faculty of the USC program have been rated among the most active in the nation in terms of their research and publications. USC faculty members have also been involved in extensive training and service activities for state and local governments in South Carolina.

The Department of Political Science at Clemson University was established in 1972. The department's faculty is active professionally, having published numerous books, articles, and monographs. The department regularly participates in community service programs and conducts conferences, symposia, and special classes for the community on a variety of issues related to government. Political Science graduates of Clemson University are employed in public agencies in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.
