Fall 2008-2009 Degree Requirements
To receive the MPAcc degree, students must complete the following with a minimum GPR of 3.00/4.00 on all undergraduate and graduate coursework taken after admission to graduate study:
I. a 15 semester hour core that includes:
3 - ACCT 851 Tax Research
3 - ACCT 852 Financial Theory & Research
3 - ACCT 853 Advanced Accounting Problems
3 - ACCT 854 Ethical, Professional and Societal Responsibilities
3 - LAW 850 Law for Professional Accountants
Total Hours = 15
II. success in ACCT 856*, 857*, 858*, and 859*, and
III. a 15 semester hour specialization in either assurance services**
or taxation***

* ACCT 856-859, are zero credit courses graded on a credit/no credit basis
that do not contribute hours toward degree completion. Successful completion
of these courses is required, before the MPAcc degree is awarded. These
courses are preparation for the different sections of the CPA Examination.
