The Clemson China Program Director is Professor Xiaobo Hu, Associate Professor of Political Science. Professor Hu received his BA from the Institute of International Relations, Peking University, Beijing, China in 1984, an L.L.M. from Peking University in 1986, and a Ph.D. from Duke University in 1994. As a 2004-2005 National Fellow of the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University, Professor Hu is currently on leave, and is writing a book on privatization in China and the political economy of property rights.
