Q: What is CAMSS?

A: CAMSS, the Center for the Advancement of Marketing and Social Science, is a market-based, customer-focused initiative that seeks to connect businesses, nonprofit organizations, students (undergraduate and graduate), and faculty through a fee-based, research-focused approach to solving customer-defined problems. The Center is supported by Clemson University's Departements of Marketing and Sociology.

Q: What are the credentials of the CAMSS consultants?

A: All CAMSS members are Ph.D. qualified in their field, usually Marketing or Sociology. Depending on a project's level of sophistication, undergraduate or graduate students may assist with data collection and research analysis. The use of students under faculty supervision provides a rich learning environment and helps reduce project cost without sacrificing final product quality.
