Dr. McCubbin's
Vita
Dr. James McCubbin, a Clemson faculty member since 1997, has
previously served on the faculties of Duke University and the
University of Kentucky. Dr. McCubbin's research is on the effects of
stress on worker performance and risk for chronic disease. He has
received over $3.5 million in research grants from the National
Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, and the National
Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. He has served on grant
review panels for the NSF and the CDC, and served as Chair of the
Behavioral Medicine Study Section at NIH. He also designs systems to
reduce occupational stress and optimize worker performance in difficult
work environments. In addition to his duties as Senior Associate Dean,
Dr. McCubbin teaches graduate and undergraduate psychology courses.
