Christopher D. Hopkins, Ph.D. (Mississippi State University), joined Clemson as an Assistant Professor of Marketing in 2001. He has previous teaching experience at Mississippi State University where he received both the Outstanding Graduate Student Research and Fall Research Colloquy awards.

- Issue in construct measurement and scale development
- Multi-level confirmatory and structural modeling issues
- E-consumer behavioral issues including information search and advertising message processing
- Issues in sport product/service branding

Dr. Hopkins’s research has been published or accepted for publication in the Journal of Marketing Management, Journal for the Advancement of Marketing Education, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice , Journal of Consumer Behavior, Journal of Business, Industry, and Economics and the Academy of Marketing Studies Journal. He currently has manuscripts under review with several other leading marketing journals. Dr. Hopkins is a member of, and has presented his research at various national and regional conferences. He has also authored several book chapters in the areas of statistics and quantitative analysis.
Dr. Hopkins also serves on the editorial review board of the Journal for the Advancement of Marketing Education. He also serves as the faculty advisor for “SportPlus,” a student organization focusing on developing and exploring career opportunities for students emphasizing in sport marketing.
