What is Operations Management?

Operations management (also known as industrial management) is concerned with the systems, processes, and activities that produce the goods and/or services of an organization. Industrial management focuses on manufacturing and service activities including facilities, systems and operations, management of technology, quality assurance, materials management, logistics, and supply chain management.

Recent graduates of the MSM program are employed as analysts, managers, and consultants in a variety of organizations including Micron Technologies, Ahold, Ford Motor Company, Federal Express, Michelin, Siemens, Schlumberger, Sonoco Products, and Accenture. Several MSM graduates have gone on to pursue a Ph.D. in Management.
