What Distinguishes the Clemson MSM Degree?

Focus:  The MSM program focuses on the capabilities and resources of operations, and the role of operations in the formulation and implementation of organization strategies for both manufacturing and service industries. The program addresses critical material and information flows within the organization, providing a knowledge base and skill set for solving problems in operations management. Emphasis is placed on the strategic, behavioral, and technical issues relevant to managing industrial and business operations in a global economy. The body of knowledge includes courses in operations management, organization theory and behavior, and information systems.

Flexibility: The MSM program provides flexibility for individuals to pursue the degree on either a full-time or part- time basis. In addition to a required set of core courses, students have the option to take two elective courses to pursue specific interests in areas such as service operations, human resources, technology management, information systems, and/or international operations. Opportunities also exist for field projects and international study.
