Who Teaches in the MSM Program?

The Department of Management consists of an internationally recognized faculty with diverse research, teaching and consulting experiences. The faculty hold doctoral degrees from institutions such as Florida State, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State, MIT, Michigan State, Pennsylvania State, Purdue, Texas A&M, University of Florida, University of Georgia, University of Iowa, University of Missouri, University of North Carolina, University of Pittsburgh, University of South Carolina, and University of Texas. The faculty includes Fulbright scholars with international experience, award-winning instructors, internationally-known researchers, and professionals with significant industrial experience. The Department has developed an outstanding reputation for its broad-based programs in management.

Recent work of the faculty has been published in top academic and practitioner journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, H arvard Business Review, Academy of Management Review, Information Systems Research, Interfaces, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Management, Journal of MIS, Journal of Operations Management, MIS Quarterly, Operations Research, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Production and Operations Management, Strategic Management Journal, P&IM Journal, and many others. In addition, Management faculty members have published well-known books and monographs on strategic management, human resource management, information systems, managerial decision modeling, supply chain management, and labor relations and collective bargaining.

Management faculty members provide a variety of services to the business and professional communities. Faculty members are active in consulting many of the largest companies in America. They are frequently asked to speak to private and public groups, and are quoted regularly in local and national newspapers and periodicals. Faculty members are very active in their professional organizations as members of editorial boards, manuscript reviewers for journals, session chairs, and discussants at professional meetings. They also serve as officers of regional professional associations, members of fraternal honor societies, and advisors to on-campus branches of national student organizations.
