Dr.
V “Sri” Sridharan, who holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical
Engineering, earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from
the University of Iowa. Sri is, currently, a professor of
management at Clemson University. Since August 2000, he is also
a professor at the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão,
Lisbon, Portugal. During 2006 he was a visiting Professor at the
Ecole de Management in Lyon, France and during 1991 he was a
Visiting Professor at the Eindhoven University of Technology, in
The Netherlands. Sri has taught graduate and executive courses
also in Operations & Supply Chain Management in France, Germany,
the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and the U.A.E.
Dr. Sridharan's research interests are in the area of operations
and supply chain management. He has published over one hundred
refereed papers in leading scientific journals, scholarly
monographs and reference books, and conference proceedings. Sri
has supervised doctoral dissertations of twelve Ph.D. students.
His research has generated more than $575,000 in research grant
from various organizations, including the National Science
Foundation, SIEMENS, Taylor Manufacturing Systems and McDonnell
Douglas Aerospace.
Sri served as the editor of POM CHRONICLE during 1995-2001 and
the editor of the OMA Newsletter during 1992-1994. He has served
on the editorial review boards of the Production and Operations
Management journal and the Journal of Operations Management.
Dr. Sridharan received the 2002 Clemson University Alumni Award
for Outstanding Achievements in Research and the 1997 Provost's
Award for Scholarly Achievement. In 1997, and again in 2004, he
was awarded the Clemson University Board of Trustees Award for
Faculty Excellence.
Sri has consulted for AT&T Bell Labs, Taylor Manufacturing
Systems, NCR Computers, AHP Havermann and Partner GmBH,
International Institute for Business Studies, Data Systems
Technology, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Abu Dhabi,
U.A.E. |
