Bank of Travelers Rest Annual Award
$250 award to a senior based upon the criteria of scholarship, leadership, character and potential in the field of Finance and banking (funded by the Bank of Travelers Rest).
Thomas C. Breazeale, Jr. Award
$500 cash award to top graduating student, individual commemorative plaque, and name inscribed on permanent plaque in Sirrine (funded annually by Mr. Buck Breazeale).
Carolina First Bank Award
$250 cash award to senior with outstanding scholarship, leadership, character, and potential in the field of Finance, excellent academic performance in Financial Management, an awareness of the importance of community banking; individual commemorative plaque (funded by Carolina First Bank).
Julian D. Dusenbury ('42) Memorial Award
$400 cash award to an exceptional senior in Financial Management, individual commemorative plaque (funded annually by Mr. Buck Breazeale).
Financial Executives International Award
$300 cash award, certificate, name inscribed on permanent plaque in Sirrine and a one year subscription to Financial Executive. Criteria are scholarship, leadership, character and desire to enter the private sector (funded by FEI). Student will be required to attend the FEI dinner meeting on April 15th, 2004 in Columbia, SC to receive this award.
Dave L. Jenkin Award in Finance for Entrepreneurial Leadership
$400 cash award and individual commemorative plaque to recognize a senior with an established record of solid academic performance majoring in Financial Management. Additionally (and just as important), the student should be a recognized leader in some capacity on campus with a noticeable record of entrepreneurial activity during his/her tenure at Clemson University (funded by Dave L. Jenkin).
The Palmetto Bank Award
$300 cash award to a senior majoring in Financial Management with an outstanding academic record and a stated interest in a career in banking (funded by The Palmetto Bank).
Peoples National Bank Annual Award
$250 cash award to a senior, based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, character and potential in the field of Finance and banking (funded by the Peoples National Bank).
Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award
Medallion (paperweight) with student's name and that of Clemson University inscribed on it, name inscribed on permanent plaque in Sirrine, and a one year subscription to The Wall Street Journal. The award is given by The Wall Street Journal on recommendation by the Finance department faculty to a graduating senior on the basis of academic excellence. The recipient’s name for 2003 was published in The Wall Street Journal on September 12th, 2003.
