With over twenty years of experience as a security analyst, portfolio
manager, and senior lecturer, Kerri McMillan is seasoned finance
professional. Mrs. McMillan teaches
investment analysis, risk management and insurance, and personal
finance classes at Clemson University. Mrs. McMillan has
facilitated creative inquiry research through Finance 398, designed and
implemented the "Managing Your Money" workshop series, and is the
faculty advisor for
Wall Street South Investment Club. Mrs. McMillan also advises and
mentors finance majors sharing her portfolio management and capital
markets experience with them.
When Mrs. McMillan is not in the classroom at Clemson University, she
is found in the trading room teaching students analytical skills using
the Bloomberg Financial Markets machine. Mrs. McMillan says "Teaching
at Clemson University is very rewarding for me. I learn something new
each day and have fun in the process. The personal qualities that an
investor should possess to bring success in investing include
open-mindedness, persistence, and a tolerance for pain." |
