 The U.S. Economic Freedom Index: 2008 Report was published on September 16, 2008. The project was a cooperative venture between the Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism and the Pacific Research Institute in association with Forbes magazine. Co-authored by Lawrence McQuillan, Michael Maloney, Eric Daniels, and Brent Eastwood, the study examines the variation in economic freedom at the state level.
