Training Officer, MAJ Craig Tackett

MAJ Tackett came from the 82^nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. Originally from Lancaster, KY, MAJ Tackett received his Army commission from Western Kentucky University in 1991 as a 2LT in the Air Defense Artillery (HAWK).

     MAJ Tackett has served in various assignments throughout the Army starting at Fort Bragg, NC as a platoon leader for 3d platoon, C Battery, 2/52 ADA. MAJ Tackett has commanded at the Company level twice serving as Alpha DET CDR, 107^th Finance Battalion (Fort Bragg, NC) and Bravo DET CDR, 208^th Finance Battalion, Schwetzingen, Germany. He served as the Battalion Executive Officer with the 208^th Finance Battalion in Bosnia for Operation Joint Guard and Forge and has commanded at the Battalion level as the Battalion Commander for the 82^nd Finance Battalion, 82^nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC. In addition, MAJ Tackett served as the Course Director and Primary Instructor for the Finance Officer Basic Course and Finance Captains Career Course for the Finance Branch at Fort Jackson, SC.

     MAJ Tackett is excited to be a part of Clemson's proud military heritage and enjoys meeting and working with all of the cadets within Clemson's Army ROTC program.
