Degree Programs

Our programs have had AACSB Accounting Accreditation since 1989.
AACSB International is the premier accrediting agency
for management education and the only grantor
of accounting accreditation.


Bachelor of Science in Accounting

  • Students may be admitted to the bachelor's program upon successful completion of the Freshman
    Pre- Business Program.

  • Students devote approximately one-half of their study to the humanities, English, public speaking, mathematics, and the natural and social sciences.

  • Students obtain a broad-based education that gives them accounting and business expertise and contributes to their proficiency in analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Students receiving the bachelor's degree are prepared to begin accounting careers in industry, the financial sector, or continue their studies at the graduate level.

 

Master of Professional Accountancy

  • Students with appropriate references, background course work, grade point averages, and graduate entrance exam scores may be admitted upon completion of a 4-year baccalaureate degree program. Students complete a 15 hour core in business that emphasizes ethics, law, international finance, and the accountant's role in business and responsibility to society. Beyond the core, students obtain an 18 hour specialization in either assurance and management services or taxation.

  • Students develop their critical thinking, research, documentation, and presentation skills to deal with problems that have multiple solutions. Through case based learning, students learn to "think outside the box, "developing the ability to identify problems, research and document alternatives, make recommendations, and justify their recommendation.

  • Students receiving the master's degree are well prepared to sit for professional accounting examinations and begin careers in public accounting, industry, and the financial sector.

  • Students may complete the program within 12 months
